We’re almost a month away from the 2015 NHL Draft – a date that Brendan Shanahan would like to have a GM in place – and there are no signs of an imminent announcement for the general manager position for the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Names have been floated around like Mike Futa and Paul Fenton, as well as Jeff Gorton from New York.
Gorton’s situation is cloudy. The New York Rangers are denying teams access to their assistant GM with some people suggesting he could be the heir to the throne in the Big Apple when Glen Sather steps down.
