It is easy to understand the angst coming from most Texas Tech football fans following the Red Raiders 47-27 loss to Ole Miss Saturday. After an offseason of hype and inflated expectations, especially on the defensive side of the ball, Kliff Kingsbury’s team laid an egg in almost every aspect of the game.
However, there were some individual performances that were worthy of praise as a handful of Red Raiders turned in admirable efforts. Here are the players deserving of game balls for their work against Ole Miss.

True freshman quarterback Alan Bowman was placed in as bad of a situation as anyone could have expected when he was called upon to replace injured starter McLane Carter.
