Husker senior Tai Webster helped New Zealand improve to 2-0 at the Atlas Challenge, as New Zealand posted a 73-68 win over Japan on Wednesday in China.
Webster reached double figures for the second straight game, going 4-of-6 from the field, including 1-of-2 from long range, en route to an 11-point performance. Webster, who had 16 points in Tuesday’s 15-point win over Belarus in the tournament opener, was one of five New Zealand players to reach double figures on Wednesday.
The 6-foot-4 guard led New Zealand with three steals and added seven rebounds and three assists in nearly 33 minutes against Japan.
