The 2016-17 Nebraska women's basketball schedule is beginning to take shape.
The Amy Williams era at Nebraska will begin Nov. 12 against Texas Rio Grande Valley in the opening round of the Preseason WNIT. UTRGV (formerly Texas Pan American) was the Western Athletic Conference runner-up a year ago.
If Nebraska wins, a potential second-round matchup against former Big 12 foe Missouri awaits. The Tigers will play Abilene Christian in the first round. If the Huskers continue to win, they could see NCAA Final Four qualifier Washington or Mountain West Conference champion Colorado State later in the tournament.
