Nebraska sophomore Nick Percy won the national championship in the discus on the final day of the NCAA Track & Field Outdoor Championships on Friday. His first throw in flight two, 201-0, was a personal best and the fourth-best throw in school history.
The Husker 4x400 relay team placed third and earned an All-America finish with a time of 3 minutes, 3.39 seconds. Levi Gipson, Tanner Townsend, Sam Bransby and Cody Rush finished just 0.08 off their preliminary time, which was the third-fastest in Nebraska history.
Kaiwan Culmer finished in eighth place for Nebraska in the triple jump, earning first-team All-America honors.
