COLUMBIA, Mo. — Cassie McClure struck out seven in a complete-effort and MJ Knighten provided a gutsy performance to help the Nebraska softball team to a 2-0 win against BYU on Friday night and University Field.

The Huskers will get another shot at No. 12 and host Missouri at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. The Tigers defeated the Huskers 8-0 in six innings earlier in the day.

Knighten played despite battling a bad ankle injury. She had a hit and scored a run in a two-run first inning against the Cougars.

Behind pressure on the basepaths, Missouri quickly turned the game in its favor in the fourth and fifth innings en route to an 8-0 win.
