Husker baseball notes: Schreiber returns to lineup

CLEMSON, S.C. — If there was any good news to come out of Nebraska’s 6-0 loss to Oklahoma State in Friday’s opener of the NCAA Clemson regional it was designated hitter Scott Schreiber’s return to the lineup.

Schreiber had two of Nebraska’s six hits in his first start after missing four games because of an abdominal strain.

Schreiber’s first at-bat came with two runners on and two out in the first inning. He popped out to second.

“It was kind of set up when there’s two guys on for his first at-bat, but he got a backup slider and didn’t barrel it up,” Erstad said.
