There was a half-day trade window open this morning ahead of Tuesday’s Expansion Draft, and the Colorado Rapids ended up with a couple draft picks for the 2017 SuperDraft.
First, we found out that Rapids got a second round draft pick from Atlanta United FC in exchange for one international slot for both 2017 and 2018.
Colorado Rapids President Tim Hinchey said this of the transaction: “We believe this trade provides good value for our club and one that will help us continue to execute our plan for roster development in the offseason.
