Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney met with the media on Friday afternoon, alongside new Clemson offensive coordinator Chad Morris for his introductory press conference.
After Morris was asked for his assessment of the Tigers’ quarterback room, Swinney was asked directly if the Tigers considered adding a quarterback from the transfer portal in the 2026 cycle.
Swinney said he made the decision as the head coach to not sign a transfer QB.
“No. That’s my decision, and obviously we’re aligned in that [Swinney and Morris],” Swinney said. “If you take a quarterback, then you’re losing two, and I don’t want to lose the guys we got.
