Central Michigan football traveled to Virginia looking to go 4-0 for the first time in 31 years, but have fallen behind early. At halftime, the Chippewas trail 28-14.

Virginia opened the game by scoring touchdowns on its first four possessions. Quarterback Kurt Benkert has completed 13-of-21 passes for 156 yards and two touchdowns.

CMU was unable to score until the second quarter when freshman running back Johnathan Ward scored on a one-yard touchdown run.
