Davis Webb, former Texas Tech quarterback, has decided to transfer to Cal. Being a graduate transfer, he will eligible to play immediately this fall.
Standing at 6’5” and 230 pounds, Webb had initially committed to play for Colorado in January. But the committal was nonbinding because he was still enrolled at Texas Tech. He recently had a change of heart, and has committed to play for the Bears.
Webb will come into summer camp competing for the starting quarterback spot left vacant by the recent departure of Jared Goff to the NFL. Webb himself has similar potential—ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr.
