Cal basketball recruiting commit: Don Coleman, JUCO point guard

The California Golden Bears have found their second commitment of the 2016 recruiting class, landing the verbal of point guard Dontae Coleman.

Coleman originally committed to Florida Atlantic but decided to hit up the junior college route for a year. Coleman has three years of eligibility left and could be a nice second option at point guard next season while bridging the gap between Wallace and Sam Singer and the next generation. Colorado State, Kennesaw State, Florida Atlantic, Cleveland State all also offered Coleman, but he wanted to be a Golden Bear.

Cal now has two commitments from this class in Tyson Jolly and Coleman, who will help alleviate the loss of Tyrone Wallace and whichever freshman decide to turn pro.
