Kobi Simmons declares for 2017 NBA Draft

Arizona freshman Kobi Simmons declared for the NBA Draft on Tuesday per a statement from the Arizona basketball program.

In his lone season at Arizona, Simmons averaged 8.7 points and 2.0 assists per game. He started in 19 games and appeared in 37.

“Kobi Simmons, with the support of his family, has decided to declare for the 2017 NBA Draft,” said Arizona head coach Sean Miller. “All of us here at Arizona thank him for his freshman season and wish him continued success as he pursues his professional career.”

Simmons becomes the second “one-and-done” player from the Wildcats team this season joining teammate Lauri Markkanen.
